Arizona LCD has been host to a number of diverse projects, commissioned to develop equipment throughout the world for companies and universities from the United States to the Asian Region. While there is a plentiful supply of equipment catering to high volume production, these are often large and expensive requiring the use of large quantities of materials and long set-up times. However, equipment catering to research and development, and small to medium volume producers are, in a lot of cases, made "in-house" which often diverts engineering effort and causes project delays. It is for this reason, AZ LCD decided to produce a range of LCD equipment geared especially to research and development, and small to medium volume producers.

Since not all LCD Flat Panel technologies use the same processing techniques, AZ LCD has worked with a number of companies and research establishments to develop equipment specific to their requirements. A few examples of such work include developing a LCD vacuum filling method for use with highly viscous liquid crystal materials and developing a Polarizer Laminating Machine for replacing defective polarizers on large area panels which contain integrated electronics.

Obviously, not all equipment used in the Flat Panel industry is specific to that industry. For instance, photoresist spinners, UV exposure machines, ovens, microscopes, etc., have many applications. AZ LCD can advise on the type of equipment to purchase and if required, locate used or refurbished equipment for you, thus, saving engineering time and effort.

Finally, AZ LCD has equipment on consignment from Flat Panel producers who no longer need it. Often this equipment takes up valuable laboratory space and is also difficult to sell. AZ LCD stores equipment on consignment and uses its contacts in the Flat Panel industry to sell it. This allows the consignors to receive the best return on their equipment.
